COVID19 Programs

Grand Challenges India is supporting India’s fight against COVID-19 through programs that focus on sewage surveillance, serosurveillance, the development of mobile diagnostics laboratories and other projects.

Programs launched and funded under COVID19 Programs

There are 3 programs launched.

Sewage Surveillance

The monitoring of wastewater for viral RNA will help public health officials and administrators to be aware of trends in the cases of the disease in the area.

Sero Surveillance

The Sero-surveillance program is being proposed for active case finding, testing, and contact tracing as reports indicate that SARS-CoV-2 causes asymptomatic infection.

Mobile Diagnostics Labortories

The DBT and Gates Foundation through the Grand Challenges India mechanism has considered to support and fund the three Mobile Diagnostics labs.
