Bioabsorbable bone implants are replacing metallic implants due to their better biocompatibility and lower cost. Currently many companies in India are developing products of this nature, however the raw material for these still needs to be largely imported. NBM is supporting scale up processes for manufacture of bioabsorbable bone implant material.
