The Mission supports development of Core Technologies in the medical device segment. Proposed innovations must be strategic, product oriented, application based and transformational which has potential to make a substantial and equitable impact on improving domestic manufacturing of associated medical products. The innovations supported under the Mission are expected to:
- Enable indigenous manufacturing of core technologies
- Improve compatibility with existing medical devices
- Are safer and/or cost effective replacements to current choices
